We are seeking to fill a vacancy as Lead Site Civil Supervising Engineer. This role is for 18 months under a fixed term contract which may be extended as required. REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate must have: Recognized Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering; Minimum 15 year’s relevant experience on power plant construction sites – 10 years of which should have been as Lead Civil Engineer; Knowledge of Applicable Codes and Standards and Health and Safety Legislation; Excellent Communication Skills and be fluent in English, previous Middle East experience is an added advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate will be required to work in a Lead Site Civil Engineer’s role and as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering project team and will be based on the construction site. Responsibilities will include: Embracing safety culture and ensuring the employer’s obligations under health and safety legislation are being adhered to; Supervision of the Contractor in terms of the overall construction process on Site: Safety; Environmental requirements; Construction methodology; Programme. Review of IFC drawings and documents for outstanding comments; Site quality assurance/ quality control; Ensuring contractor complies with all planning permission and licensing conditions; Ensuring the contractor informs all statutory authorities, relevant authorities and other stakeholders as appropriate; Liaison with the Design Review team; Close Client liaison and reporting. JOB RELATIONSHIPS The successful candidate will report and liaise closely with the Site Manager.Competences Skills/Other:
BENEFITS PACKAGE 12 month’s initial contract; Accommodation/ transport/ meals at Site; Medical Insurance; Visas; This will be a x6 day work week, with a x10hrs working day; Single Status assignment; Rotation: 3 months on Site with 2 weeks leave + Air tickets Outward/ Return paid by the client, at each leave cycle.
